Examination Details and Description

The Total Marks: 200


Forty-five per cent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII or equivalent) in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC /Especially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.

Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible for appearing in CLAT online examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission

The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.

The CLAT EXAMINATION is conducted in online mode and is of 200 marks. The question paper includes questions from 5 different subjects:

English including Comprehension

General Knowledge and Current Affairs


Legal Aptitude

Logical Reasoning

Law CLAT Exam Component

The CLAT exam is of two hours duration. It is a centralized test to get admissions into 21 Law Colleges in India. The test is conducted by the participatory 21 National Law Colleges on a rotational basis. The test can be taken after 12th to get into a Graduate Integrated degree BA. LLB. Or after Graduation for a Master’s program, Masters of Law (LLM). The decision is all yours.

The test comprises of English including Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness and Logical Reasoning.
